Here we will look at common issue when users add an Agilent 7890 Gas Chromatograph to Chromperfect.
When the instrument status shows Awaiting Download and the user attempts to download a method with an M78 instrument setpoint file, an error is displayed "Error reported by the acquisition service, Download attempt failed, Instrument not receptive".
This is a unique anomaly for the Agilent 7890. The fix is very straightforward, we simply have to download a simple method without an m78 file, the status will change to Ready and then you can download you method which contains the m78 and instrument control settings.
