YouTube Video about monitoring baseline in Chromperfect Chromatography Data System,

Intro

Need to check your detector baseline for stability or adjust zero without filling your storage with unnecessary run files? Chromperfect lets you monitor live signals without saving data.

Step-by-Step Guide - Monitor Detector Baseline

  1. Open Acquisition Window

    • Click the Run button on the Chromperfect start bar.

    • If you see an older floating square menu, you’re using a very old version — contact our sales team to upgrade.

  2. Claim the Instrument

    • Connect as you normally would.

  3. Load a Method

    • Choose a runtime long enough for your monitoring needs.

  4. Start the Run

    • Watch the live signal on the spreadsheet.

  5. Abort Instead of Stopping

    • Important: Do not click Stop or let the run end naturally — this will save files.

    • Instead, click Abort Run (or right-click spreadsheet → Abort Run).

  6. Need More Time?

    • Right-click spreadsheet → Change Runtime.

  7. Adjusting Zero

    • Initial zero adjustment: Use the GC’s analog zero potentiometers.

    • Once stable, use Chromperfect’s Autozero if needed.
