Chromperfect’s Analysis Program provides powerful options for customizing chromatogram plots. Understanding how to work with plots ensures clear, accurate, and efficient data review.
Adjusting Plot Scales
Plots can be rescaled using several methods:
Expansion Box: Draw with the left mouse button, confirm with the right.
Hot Keys & Toolbar Buttons: Expand, compress, or shift plots.
Scale Dialogue: Apply automatic, manual, auto-zero, or custom limits. Scales can be applied to one plot or all open chromatograms.
Moving Chromatograms
Choose Tools → Move Chromatogram to reposition data within the plot window. The operation assistant helps you draw and confirm the movement.
Customizing Plot Properties
The Properties menu allows detailed adjustments to chromatogram appearance:
Labels: Choose what information is displayed above peaks.
Colors: Assign unique trace and peak colors for clarity.
Line Widths: Differentiate traces when printing in black and white.
Fonts: Customize text style, size, and emphasis.
Decorations and Session Defaults
Plot decorations include baselines, labels, and scaling options. These can be adjusted for the current session or saved as defaults for future use.
Saving Changes to Methods
Many plot settings can also be saved directly to a method file:
Select File → Save Method in the Analysis Program.
Changes can be applied to the existing method or saved as a new file.
